DNA testing is still a new field. TheMakingsofMe marketing team is experimenting with several approaches on getting the word out about our range of DNA tests. So we want to join the conversations that are already taking place around DNA testing and genetics. The best tool for that these days is Twitter. With some new visualization tools, we surveyed Twitter activity for the three leading hash tags in recent months. The bottom line? While there is an active conversation on DNA and Genetics led by major media outlets such as The Washington Post, conversations on DNA testing is sporadic. For us, that may be an opportunity to generate and lead a #DNAtesting conversation on Twitter. Here are the results:
